This section explains about the system requirements and system configurations to run the MORAI SIM: Drive.

System Requirments

Minimum System Requirements:

CPU: Intel i5-9600KF or AMD Ryzen 5 3500X
RAM: DDR4 16GB
VGA: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2060 Super
OS: Windows 10, Linux Ubuntu 18.04 LTS, or Linux Ubuntu 16.04 LTS

Recommended System Requirements:

For running multiple sensor models in MORAI SIM: Drive

CPU: Intel i9-9900K or AMD Ryzen 7 3700X (or higher)
RAM: DDR4 64GB (or higher)
VGA: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2080 Ti (or higher)
OS: Windows 10, Linux Ubuntu 18.04 LTS, or Linux Ubuntu 16.04 LTS

System Configurations

In here, we would like to explain the required PC setup to run the simulator and the communication environment needed for each configuration.

A setup that does not use a dedicated PC for the simulator

This setup runs both the autonomous driving SW and the simulator on the same PC.

To enable data communication between the autonomous driving SW and the simulator, ROS or UDP communication environment is required.

A setup that use a dedicated PC for the simulator

This setup runs the autonomous driving SW on a separate PC from the simulator.

The two PCs are connected via Ethernet or WiFi. For data communication, a communication environment such as ROS or UDP is required between the autonomous driving SW and the simulator.
